Your account

Signing in, your profile, your language, your data and how to delete the account again.

How signing in works

Your sign-in is handled by WorkOS, our sign-in service. You can use Google, Apple or an email address with a password.

Your email address and your password belong to that service, not to the terminal. Change them there. StockLife never receives your password and cannot reset it for you.

The same account opens both products. Whether an account has paid access is recorded for each product on its own.

Your profile

Settings shows two fields that belong to you.

FieldWhat it is
Display nameThe name the terminal greets you with. Yours to choose, and nobody else sees it.
Account referenceIssued by the sign-in service. Quote it in a support mail and we can find your account without asking for anything private.

Changes save by themselves, and the card says which state the save is in. If a save cannot be confirmed, your draft stays on screen instead of being discarded. If the profile changed on another device, the terminal says so and does not overwrite that change.

Sign out

Settings has Sign out. It ends the session on the device you are using. Sessions on other devices stay until you sign out there too.

Download your data

To get a copy of everything the service holds about your account:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Press Prepare the file under Download my data.
  3. Save the file when it is ready.

The file holds your watchlists, your depots, your alerts, your posts on the feedback board and your payment records. It also names what it does not contain. Your sign-in details are not in it, because they belong to the sign-in service.

If a table holds more rows than one file carries, the file names that table as partly included, and you can ask for the rest.

Delete your account

To delete it:

  1. Cancel a running subscription and finish any open checkout. See Changing or ending a plan.
  2. Open Settings and press Delete account.
  3. Type the confirmation word the dialog asks for.
  4. Press Permanently delete terminal account.

Your settings, watchlists and saved assistant answers are deleted, and your sessions are revoked. Credits you have left lapse.

Invoices are kept, because a business has to keep them for ten years. The link between them and you is cut. A minimal marker stays to record that this account has used its trial, because without it one account could take the trial again and again.

Caution Your login at the sign-in service is not deleted with the account. Delete it there as well if you want it gone.

Cancelling is not deleting

A cancellation ends a subscription and leaves the account, with your lists and your settings. Deleting the account removes the data. Cancel first, so the cancellation can still be matched to your contract.
