This website
What else lives on stocklife.io, and which parts of it work without an account.
The pages
| Page | What is on it |
|---|---|
| Home | What StockLife is, the plans with a switch between monthly and yearly, a comparison table and eight questions with answers. |
| Terminal | The terminal, with pictures of its layout. The figures in those pictures are examples, and the page says so. |
| Portfolio | The second product, what works today and what does not. |
| Features | Every view the product has, one card each. |
| Changelog | What changed, dated, newest first, with a filter for features, improvements and fixes. Every entry describes a release that really shipped. |
| Roadmap | What comes next and in which order. The dates are a plan rather than a promise, and the page says when the list was last true. |
| Calculators | Eleven calculators. No account, nothing stored, nothing sent. |
| Status | Whether the website, the public interface and the terminal are up, measured when you open the page. |
| Docs | This documentation. English for now. |
| Legal | Imprint, privacy policy, terms, the right of withdrawal and how to cancel. |
There is no blog and no newsletter. Questions and feedback go to the mailbox in the footer, and a person reads every one.
Use the calculators
Eleven of them, for margins, valuation and capital structure. They run in your browser, so the numbers you type are yours, nothing is stored and nothing is sent anywhere.
- Each one starts filled with an example, so you can see what a field expects. Reset to example puts it back.
- Numbers are written the way your language writes them, and the currency menu holds twenty currencies.
- The currency is only a label. Nothing is converted and no exchange rate is used, which the menu says as well.
- The search tolerates a typo, so a misspelled margin still finds the margin calculator.
Read the status page
It names three things and measures them when you open it.
- This website. Measured against its own health address.
- The public interface. The small addresses that answer the changelog and the status in machine readable form.
- The terminal. Asked directly, once, each time the page opens.
The bars show the days that have been watched. A day before watching began stays grey and says there is no data, rather than being coloured green for a day nobody measured. The column on the right shows how long the last measurement took, not a percentage over ninety days, because that percentage would have to be calculated from days that were never observed.
Switch the language
This website is built in 32 languages. English lives at the root, every other language under its own short code, for example stocklife.io/de/.
The language menu sits at the very bottom of every page. It takes you to the same page in the language you pick, and where a page does not exist in that language it takes you to the home page of that language rather than to a dead end.
The legal texts are German and the German version is the binding one. An English reading version sits next to it, and every other language links to the English one. This documentation is English for now.
