StockLife Portfolio

The second product: your holdings, entered by hand, with the same market data behind them.

What it is

StockLife Portfolio is the second product. It keeps what you own, and you enter it yourself. It is its own application on its own address, with its own pages and its own navigation, and it opens from the entry link or from the product page.

Your StockLife account opens it. Access is recorded for each product separately, so the terminal and the portfolio are held independently of each other.

What works today

  • Manual entry. Holdings with their quantities and what you paid, transactions, dividends and one property.
  • Analysis of your own numbers. Every figure on screen comes from your own entries or from the shared market data, and from nothing else.
  • Several currencies. Amounts are converted into the currency of the portfolio with reference rates before anything is added up. Where no rate is available, the amount stays out of the total and is named rather than swallowed.
  • A file in and out. The export writes a file, and the import reads that same file back.

Note Where a number is neither in your entries nor in the market data, the field shows a dash. That is the same rule the terminal follows, and it is why a number that is there can be trusted.

What is not built yet

  • No connection to a broker. The import reads the file the export writes, not a bank statement.
  • No savings plans.
  • No look through into what a fund holds.
  • No announced dividend dates.

Those areas stay empty rather than showing an example of what they will look like. The roadmap carries the order they are planned in.

How it relates to the terminal

The two products share an account, a payment path and the market data services, so a price in one is the price in the other. They do not share a screen. There is no switch between them and no page that is both, because they answer two different questions.
