The stock finder
Filter the market by the numbers you care about, then save the search so it is one click away next time.
What the finder does
The finder, called Screener in the terminal, works the other way round from a company page. Instead of asking what is true about one company, you say which numbers matter and the market answers with the companies that match.
Open it with G and then S, or from the dock.
Build a search
- Start from one of the seven ready made searches, or open the filter editor and start from nothing.
- Add a filter per figure, industry or price trend, and set its range.
- Choose the columns you want to compare on, and drop the ones you never read.
- Sort by the column that decides the question you are asking.
The result list
- The first 200 instruments load with the screen. Load more continues in steps, up to 5,000.
- Up to 50 rows are drawn at a time, so a long list stays quick to scroll.
- Filters and sorting apply to every row that is loaded, not only to the rows on screen.
- A CSV export writes what you see, with every cell quoted.
- A row opens the company page.
Save a search
A saved search keeps its filters, its columns, its sorting and the folder you filed it in, so one click puts the whole view back.
| Plan | Saved searches |
|---|---|
| No running subscription | 2 |
| Essential | 3 |
| Pro | 12 |
| Elite | 12 |
When the allowance is full the save is refused and the view on your device stays as it is. Delete a saved search and save again, or move to a plan that keeps more.
Note If you had more saved searches than your current plan allows, you keep every one of them. The list can only shrink, and only the next addition past the limit is refused.
Let the assistant build one
On Pro and Elite you can describe what you are looking for in your own words and get a set of filters back. You can then change anything in it before you run it. See StockLife AI.
