Privacy and your data

What is stored, who else is involved, and how to change your choice at any time.

On this website

A window asks once what you allow. Until you answer, nothing that measures you is loaded. Your answer is kept on your device so you are not asked again.

RowWhat it does
EssentialRemembers your choice and keeps the site secure. Always needed, and it cannot be switched off.
Usage statisticsPostHog, in the EU, receives pages, actions, durations, your language and technical errors with the details stripped out. No names, no email addresses, no financial data and no questions you asked the assistant.
Advertising measurementGoogle counts which advertisement led to a subscription. It loads only after you agree, and it is never used for personalised advertising.
Session replayOff unless you switch it on separately. A masked recording of the interface, to diagnose a problem. Text, inputs, images and charts are hidden.

Essential only keeps the two measuring rows off, and nothing is fetched for them.

On this website the measurement stays pseudonymous. Only the terminal links events to an account.

Change your choice

  • The small pill at the bottom left of any page, once a choice is stored.
  • The switch on the privacy policy, next to the clause that describes it.

Withdrawing takes effect at once. The identifier is deleted and the sending stops in that tab. Other tabs stop with their next page load. The choice applies to the device you make it on.

In the terminal

The terminal holds an account, so it holds more: your watchlists, your saved searches, your settings, your posts on the feedback board, your saved assistant answers and your payment records. That is what makes them the same on every device.

The same two switches sit in Settings, with one difference. While you are signed in, usage statistics are linked to your account ID. The switch for emails about a trial is there too.

Download my data gives you a copy of all of it, and Delete account ends it. Both are described under Your account.

Who else is involved

StockLife does not run everything itself. These services see something, and the privacy policy names each one with what it processes and where.
